TJ joined NCOAA as Executive Director in 2018 after serving several years as a contract lobbyist at the North Carolina General Assembly where he represented various business and nonprofit interests. Prior to his career in Government Relations, TJ held several other roles within North Carolina’s political and governmental spheres, including work at the NCGA, as well as a Congressional Campaign.

As Executive Director, TJ oversees NCOAA’s daily operations, member relations, government affairs, and NCOAA’s Public Education Program.

TJ is a graduate of North Carolina State University, and serves on several statewide nonprofit boards of directors, including Keep North Carolina Beautiful, Association Executives of North Carolina, and the North Carolina Professional Lobbyist Association.
